This review is from: Schecter Omen-7 Electric Guitar, Walnut SatinI was just looking for a cheap 7 string mainly for recording until I could get something better in the future. I had never played one of these or even heard one for that matter, so I definitely gambled a little bit by buying this and let me tell you that I gambled and won. The electronics are nothing special. Duncan "Designed" p'ups, whatever that means, are usable, don't sound horrid and are easily replaced by the p'up of your choosing. The body itself looks very nice, and has a good weight to it. The guitar had pretty good playability right out of the box. No major fret buzz or loose parts, the action was set up surprisingly well and for a $350 guitar, the thing seems to just play itself. If you don't have much money and need a 7 string, I doubt you will be disappointed with this one. A few minor alterations and you would definitely have a guitar that sounds like $1000, but really is only $500....
