I have gone through many quality guitars and amps and I consider myself a professional when it comes to guitars and amps. Guitars should be rated by tone, hardware, playability, feel and value. I have an ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Gold-top model with Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pickups and it is my absolute favorite guitar I own. It's got the action, speed and playability of a high end Ibanez or Jackson (or ESP), it's got the sweet tone and sustain of my USA Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul Standard but with it's own voice, the hardware's quality is outstanding (better than most guitars costing 2x this) and all of this for under $1000! Incredible. I don't know how ESP did it, but they did and I am looking forward to buying more of their Deluxe 1000 models!...

It's a hard choice.Now, I don't know what K. Cooper was smoking but this guitar IS listed as 1,199.00 - 1,249.99 (depending on color) on musiciansfriend as well as guitarcenter and if they both list them as that price, THEN IT IS that price. You absolutely CAN NOT get this guitar for less than 800 dollars ANYWHERE unless it's damaged or defective or if you are extremely lucky and do not know anything about guitars.......like K. Cooper.I am giving this review 5 stars simply to offset K. Cooper's due to his/her? incorrect information....

It looks beautiful and with the active pickups, is awesome for metal. It has a lot of high end stuff on it you just dont find on guitars in this price range. The reviewer K.Cooper above me had no clue, this guitar sells for around $850.00 and is a great deal....
