This review is from: Line 6 James Tyler Variax JTV-69 Modeling Electric Guitar; 3-ToneThis is a great guitar with one exception: the neck is too narrow for the string spacing. The high and low E strings are very close to the edge of the fretboard, so you may find your fingers slipping off at the most inopportune times. Check out the Line6 forums for others who have discovered this problem. Some have mentioned the models switching on their own, too. I have noticed this on occasion, but I haven't been able to reproduce it reliably. It happens unexpectedly, and quickly reverts back to the correct model. It's great to have real pickups on this guitar, and they do sound good. I found myself using the pickups most of the time, and switching to the modeling feature only when I needed an acoustic guitar, or a good Les Paul or Telecaster sound. The neck problem made it a chore to play, so I returned mine for a refund. I'll stick with my Variax 700 for now....
