This review is from: Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Custom EX Electric Guitar, EMG 81/85 PickupsI bought it last December and I have been very happy with it ever since! The neck is very comfortable, even for higher notes (24 frets), and it looks awesome hanging on the wall.Except for my flying V, It is hard to imagine myself playing something other than a Les Paul after trying this one....
This review is from: Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Custom EX Electric Guitar, EMG 81/85 PickupsI bought this guitar a few weeks ago and It came with 10's on it and it just felt really stiff to me. I took it to a local music company i deal with here in PA and had them do a pro setup on it and put 9's on it for me. well it plays much nicer now except the neck is a little flexible. By this i mean that when i tune it up if i just push on the neck a tad the tuneing drops a lot more then my other guitars do. Maybe this will go away once the guitar has had the 9's on it a while but My ibanez guitars dont do this nearly as much if at all. Other then that im really happy with the guitar. The finish looks like a million dollars and the neck dimensions feel nice to me. I may eventually swap out the emg's to get a sweeter passive pickup. I do play metal but i play mostly rock and my dimarzios in my ibanez sound sweeter to me(just my opinion). if your getting a case for this guitar get the epiphone LP one because a lot of other LP cases won't fit this guitar the headstock on this was 1/2 inch to longfor the skb LP case i had. If i were to rate this guitar out 5 stars it would get a solid 3-3.5! i may follow up on this review after a few months and let you know if anythings changed....
