Godin Session Electric Guitar - Blackburst SG RN

This review is from: Godin Session Electric Guitar - Blackburst SG RNLove this guitar. Bought through Amazon and came firmly packed in the Godin box, snuggly packed in the Godin gig bag. Out of the box this thing is ready to play. Neck feels perfect for my hands, not thick and fairly thin but not as thin as an Ibanez neck. Action is very low, had to adjust it a little higher to get rid of some string buzz.Pickups are good, every setting sounds really good, especially when you split the humbucker. No flaws whatsoever on this guitar. I got the blackburst and it's not my favorite color but there were no marks, dings or anything whatsoever. Guitar feels really solid but not heavy. It is a finely crafted instrument for not a whole lot of money. Defintely worth the money....

This review is from: Godin Session Electric Guitar - Blackburst SG RNI have just purchased a Godin Session. I am an acoustic Guitar player that has gone over to the dark side. I have been renting and playing a lot of different solid body electric guitars to see what suits me. I must admit I like the Godin Session very much. It has taken a bit to get it just the way I like it, but it sounds fantastic for an under $500 guitar! What surprised me at first, was how good it sounded unplugged. That was the hook to play it more. I have replaced the extra light strings that came on the guitar, with light flat wound strings to get those nice smooth Jazzy slides. Now that I have been playing the guitar for a month, it keeps very good tune, even with the use of the Trem Bar. I can't get the Strat "Quack" out of it but it has a great range of sounds sort of like a tele. The neck and string action was good right out of the box. The hardware looks good and the build quality seems to be there. I am very impressed, great Bang for your buck, and made here in North America too....
