I had been wanting one of these pretty much since they first introduced them. I considered the Gibson, but I couldn't see paying 10 times the price of the Epiphone - not at my skill level! I am happy with every aspect of this guitar. It sounds great, it plays great! Pickups seem a bit "hotter" than my ES-335 "clone". The neck is a bit thicker than either my 335 copy or my Martin DX-1 Acoustic. I was concerned about this at first, because my hands are rather small, but I actually like it better than a thinner neck. The only negative things I can say about it are: 1. It came with a broken high E string, and I found out pretty quickly that changing strings on a Floyd Rose can be a major pain!! Quickly found a video on You Tube, and had all six (since I had to replace that high E, I went ahead and replaced the whole set with some Dean Markley Blue Steel strings) replaced in no time! 2. If you're looking to buy American, this guitar is manufactured in China. I hope this review is somewhat useful. Bottom line is, I would definitely buy again - Epiphone Guitars and from Amazon!...
