This review is from: Dean EVO Guitar, T Style Natural MahoganyThis is a very decent Asian-made, single cut-away guitar with a set neck & solid mahogany body. The action and sound are quite good.Pluses:+ solid mahogany+ set neck (glued to body vs. bolted on)+ nicely shaped neck with good action+ nice sounding humbucker-style pick-upsMinuses: - cheaper die cast-type tuners- permanent greasy-looking stains on the body and neck, and scratches on mine- no gig bagThe minuses are minor. Additional notes:Amazon's product description is inaccurate (it states that there is a maple top cap to the mahogany body...not so...it is solid mahogany).Based on several reviews I had read elsewhere online I was half-expecting to receive a Korean-made guitar with Grover tuners...mine is "Made in China" and has cheaper die-cast tuners (the reviews must have been on an earlier model). I did contact Dean, but they did not provide any helpful information. The photo Amazon has shows pick-ups with "Dean" imprinted on them...but mine had no such imprint. Also, the guitar was not packed well (I'll post pictures.Bottom line, this guitar offers a lot for the $100-200 price point. Features I'd like to see added (and would be willing to pay more for):- Grover tuners- Floyd Rose style bridge for fine-tuning- gig bag or caseFeel free to contact me with any questions ;-)...
