The solid ash body with the thin finish allows for a great tone, even without being plugged in. Try this with a standard stratocaster and you can hear the difference. I think the U-shaped neck plays a little faster. The package comes with the vintage hard case, strap, cables and the ashtray bridge cover. This is the guitar Leo Fender perfected in 1952, nuff said....
