This is it. The stock single coils are muddy and sound muffled. The humbucker is not bad. Still not great but I could see it sitting in a epiphone sg or custom les paul (epiphone). The best part is the neck. Boy is it comfy. It would hurt your hand..it supports well its a old D style shape, so it hugs your hand( I have medium sized hands, long fingers). I bought this for 110, and I think its worth 180. so its a great deal for me. I will drop in new pots, capacitor and new HSS pikcups using sh5's and duncan tonezone. This guitar is a good base for a project that screams, but its not high end as it comes....
