This review is from: Gibson Anniversary Flood Les Paul Electric Guitar, Blue SwirlI was very nervous placing an order for a guitar that I have never played. The three factors that contributed to me ordering it were: (a) it was a Gibson, (b) Amazon have a 30 day return policy and (c) I really wanted this finish and this model was not available at any of the local music shops. In the end I decided if it turn out to not be right for me I would return.While I cannot say every guitar will be as well built as the one I received, I am delighted with it. It plays beautifully and I'm really looking forward to developing my playing with this instrument.In terms of the actual instrument, the strings are a little lighter than I normally play, but that doesn't seem to have caused much issue, in fact I'm wondering if I might switch to light strings again as a result of this. The rosewood finger board turned out to be lighter than my other guitars but it feels comfortable. The neck is the narrow profile so if you like fat necks you probably won't like this guitar. It's not a really slim strat neck, but it's not fat either. The frets are neither particularly high now wide, seem kind of mid size to me but play very comfortably.The only issues I have thus far identified are - the pot controls are really smooth and also are nicer resistant to being adjusted accidentally. However, I can see that if your hands are sweaty they may slip on them. It's not happened to me but then I've not got really hot and sweaty playing this instrument yet. The other issue is that on some other Les Paul's they have the pull pot for coil taps. I have a strat so it's not a critical issue for me.Overall it's a beautiful guitar and I'm very happy with it....
