This review is from: Epiphone LP-100 Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar, Vintage SunburstThis is my son's 2nd guitar, moving up from a basic model I got him a year ago. He chose this model because he wanted a Les Paul model. As soon as it arrived he was really impressed with its sound and quality. The product finish looks and feels of very high quality. We think this is a great choice for beginners. Recommend it 100%....
This review is from: Epiphone LP-100 Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar, Vintage SunburstI got this guitar when I was 12 and I still have. When I played, it sounded like a real les paul. I'm glad that the guitar came with amp because I didn't have the money to buy one if it didn't come with one. I would recommand this guitar if you don't have an electric one....
This review is from: Epiphone LP-100 Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar, Vintage SunburstThe kit guitars that you can find for around $150-170 that include an amp, bag, stand, strap, picks, etc etc don't have the shiny finish that all Les Pauls should have. This one does, and is one of the reasons I'm glad I didn't buy a starter kit. I've had it for a couple weeks, and it sounds great out of the box (with some tuning, since they detuned for shipping). It did NOT come with an amp, despite what others said. Maybe it was just my order, or maybe the ones with amps are kits, and thus didn't have the nice finish. But I can definitely say this wasn't a kit, and it didn't come with anything but a cord. And for anyone who wants to pick up guitar, I suggest you get a strap and stand asap, because it's a hassle and an annoyance to keep a guitar in a cardboard box....
